Platform model and allocation of roles<\/h2>\n<p>visit-sanremo.com is a platform on which hosts (e.g. holiday apartment landlords, hotel operators, service providers, and shop owners) can publish listings and offer services.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sami International GmbH<\/strong> is responsible for operating the platform, technical infrastructure, payment processing, marketing, tracking, and central guest registration.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hosts<\/strong> act, within the scope of their accommodation business, as <strong>independent data controllers<\/strong> for the guest data transmitted to them and its lawful processing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Personal data of guests is forwarded to the respective host in the context of a booking or registration, provided this is necessary for contract performance or compliance with legal obligations.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>4. Purposes and legal bases of processing<\/h2>\n<p>Personal data is processed for the following purposes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Processing bookings, listings, subscriptions, and services<br \/>\n<em>(Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR \u2013 performance of a contract)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Guest registration and handling of the <strong>tassa di soggiorno<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>(Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR \u2013 legal obligation)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Transmission of legally required data to the <strong>Comune di Sanremo<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>(Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>User accounts and support<br \/>\n<em>(Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Marketing, advertising, and analytics (only with consent)<br \/>\n<em>(Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Fraud prevention and IT security<br \/>\n<em>(Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>6. Authorities and statutory disclosures<\/h2>\n<p>Depending on the type of accommodation and legal obligations, personal data of guests is transmitted to the <strong>Comune di Sanremo<\/strong>, in particular for guest registration and tourist tax processing.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting is carried out:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>by Sami International GmbH for its own holiday apartments;<\/li>\n<li>by the respective host for their accommodation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>7. Identification data<\/h2>\n<p>Identification data and copies of identification documents are collected exclusively for statutory guest registration and internal security purposes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Storage is encrypted and access-restricted.<\/li>\n<li>Access is limited to authorised administrators and, where required, the respective host.<\/li>\n<li>Copies of identification documents are deleted <strong>no later than 6 months after check-out<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Transmission by email is intended only as a temporary solution. A secure upload solution is planned.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>8. Payment processing<\/h2>\n<p>Payment processing is carried out via external payment service providers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Stripe<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>PayPal<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The respective privacy policies of the providers apply. visit-sanremo.com has no access to credit card or bank account data.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>9. Marketing, tracking, and analytics<\/h2>\n<p>visit-sanremo.com uses the following services, subject to consent:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Google Analytics (GA4)<\/li>\n<li>Google Tag Manager (client- and server-side)<\/li>\n<li>Google Ads (including conversion tracking, enhanced conversions, remarketing)<\/li>\n<li>Meta Pixel including Conversion API<\/li>\n<li>LinkedIn Insight Tag<\/li>\n<li>TikTok Pixel<\/li>\n<li>Mouseflow<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Integration takes place exclusively after consent via a consent management tool (Cookiebot).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>10. Transfers to third countries<\/h2>\n<p>The use of certain services may result in transfers of personal data to third countries (in particular the USA).<\/p>\n<p>Such transfers are based on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC)<\/li>\n<li>additional technical and organisational measures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A residual risk (e.g. due to access by foreign authorities) cannot be completely excluded despite these measures.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>11. Data retention period<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Accounting and invoicing data: <strong>10 years<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Booking and account data: purpose-bound, max. 10 years<\/li>\n<li>Copies of identification documents: max. <strong>6 months after stay<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Marketing data: max. <strong>5 years<\/strong> or until consent is withdrawn<\/li>\n<li>Server and security logs: according to hosting provider requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>13.
