When: Annually in December
What: The Sanremo Marathon is one of the most impressive running events on the Italian Riviera. The course runs almost continuously along the Ligurian coast, combining athletic challenge with a Mediterranean lifestyle. The starting point is the famous Casino di Sanremo, from where the route passes through Sanremo and several charming coastal towns of the Riviera dei Fiori. In addition to the classic marathon, shorter distances and non-competitive runs are offered, allowing both ambitious runners and families or leisure runners to take part. The Sanremo Marathon thus symbolises the connection between sport, nature and tourism in one of the most beautiful regions of Liguria.
